Nairobi

We made it! We left Indy around 2pm local time, connected in Detroit then Amsterdam and finally on to Nairobi. It took a long time to get through customs/visa then get our luggage. Of the eight pieces of baggage checked by our group, only one did not make it but should be here tomorrow morning. In the meantime, Dr. Matthews' son, Noah, doesn't have any other clothes. We squashed all of us and our luggage in a van and got to the Fairview Hotel which is really nice (for Kenya, pretty basic by Western standards) and had dinner around 10:30pm local time (2:30pm Indy time). Hopefully we can get some sleep tonight since neither of us slept more than a couple of hours on the flights. The weather is about 70 degrees. We had some rain on our trip from the airport but it seems to have stopped now. Tomorrow morning we will fly to Masai Mara to begin our safari. We are really excited about that.
