Guard dogs

The sign on the gate to the IU house complex says "MBWA KALI". Mbwa is the Swahili word for Dog or dogs. Kali translates to severe or intense. In Swahili, the adjective follows the subject, so the literal translation is "severe dogs" or "intense dogs" as a warning. Note in English the sign says "be aware of dogs" instead of "beware of dogs". Close enough.

The lower pictures show those guard dogs. Two friendly, playful little puppies. They are cute and fun to play with.
